Great SSB March 11, 2024 Reviewer: Jason S from Riverview, FL United States   I've had this bar for years...like 8 or 10 years. I bought it because a shoulder injury left me unable to reach back to hold a straight bar on my shoulders (I've since had a shoulder replacement and have full ROM but still love this bar). I use it for good mornings quite a bit. It's more comfortable than a straight bar and the yoke handles make it easy to stabilize. The bar has great balance and the build quality is excellent. I absolutely recommend this bar if you're in the market for a SSB. It's made domestically and I really like supporting American manufacturing and small businesses. I definitely intend to add some additional Black Widow gear to my home gym. I also have their thick handle tricep bar and love it. I use it every week for pushdowns and overhead extensions. SSB used in a Starting Strength Gym February 4, 2024 Reviewer: John Thomason from Colorado Springs, CO   Great Piece of equipment for multiple applications. The 35 lb weight lets me quickly elevate a client from box squats to a barbell as we work towards proper depth. The SSB is very stable and is a great asset for lifters that do not have the shoulder mobility or an injury that does not allow them to place a barbell into the low bar position. 30lb. Safety Squat Bar December 20, 2023 Reviewer: jeff fisher from Grass Valley, CA United States   I bought this Safety Squat Bar in the 30 lb version for my wife. After using it for the first time, it's now my favorite Bar! It is perfectly balanced.. The quality of the paint job and welds is immaculate, the pads are amazing and I love the nice covers! 10/10 November 30, 2023 Reviewer: Daniel from Walnut Creek, CA United States   What drew me to this bar was the size. I have a small space in the garage and being able to store this bar upright in my bwtg 8 bar storage (which is also amazing) was key. Most of the other bars on the market are too long. It being closer to 45 than 65 lbs is also a plus making it easier to move around. This is my first SSB but it's balanced perfectly and the quality is top. I have a few bwtg landmine handles as well and have never been disappointed. 10/10 would recommend. Was this review helpful to you?

Case for SSB February 20, 2023 Reviewer: Michael Sheridan from Chicago, IL United States   Case for SSB -  Camber shifts weight distribution changing fulcrum and equilibrium. This hits core (huge) and other muscle groups with less stress on T spine, lower back.  Thus, recovery is better while increasing strength with less weight; weight will go down – ego check.  Shoulder not sore so does not interfere with bench day. Case for BW SSB –  The balance is ideal.  I got the lighter bar thinking it’s easier to front squat, logistically.  The padding is great.  I have used other SSB’s and my complaints were:  padding and balance.  BW is 100% on both padding and balance/equilibrium. Safety Squat Bar (30lb Lightweight) December 21, 2022 Reviewer: Jason Munoz from Oklahoma City, OK United States   I’ve used several SSBs over the years. I came across the Black Widow SSB on Reddit and decided to go order it over several others.  I love this bar. The balance is much better on the BW than other bars I’ve used.  The dimensions of the bar (mar the regular bar) are excellent. They easily fit in my rack without having to swing the j-cups in and the length being much smaller is great for my garage gym. I went with the 30lb bar so I wouldn’t have any issues with my middle school athletes and my older or less experienced people I train. Highly recommend this bar! Was this review helpful to you?

Awesome product! still going strong at 10 years October 27, 2022 Reviewer: Paul B from Florida   i have had this bar for going on 10 years and abuse it almost weekly, if not more between myself, kids and training partners that all lift in my garage. Coating and welds are still solid as day one. Most impressive are the pads. there has been minor compression over the years and no change in comfort at all.
