quality craftsmanship March 30, 2017 Reviewer: Derek S. from Green Bay, WI United States   I've had this bar for a few weeks so I've used it a handful of times now.  The first time I used it I was amazed how much more natural it felt doing deadlifts.  That's the best way I can explain it.  There is almost no guesswork with proper form using a hex bar.  I love it for that reason alone.  But the quality welds and the great design need to be pointed out as well.  All of the welds are very solid and complete, meaning they are thorough, thickly beaded welds across the entire section where two pieces of metal meet.  Seems simple and obvious that all welds should be that way...well, not everyone does do it that way.  This bar does have nice thick, solid welds at every spot where there is a weld.  I have no doubts this bar will last me the rest of my life and my son's life for that matter.  This is the 2nd bar I've bought from Black Widow and I will be back for more.  I am proud to support an American made product, and especially a U.S. Marine veteran like myself.  Thank you Dean. Great Hex bar! September 2, 2016 Reviewer: arthur posluszny from GREENLAND, NH United States   I should have bought this hex bar for my gym a long time ago.  I got it set up for bumper plates (plate stops removed for more room on the bar).  Was told that it's not rackable... But I got an extra pair of collars (which are very nice) so I can space out the plates and rack the bar if I want to for some exercises; which makes it very versatile.  For a rackable hex bar it's only 74" long and like 33 lbs so moving it around and storing it is much easier.  I hang it on the wall when not in use.  I like to do hex dead lifts as a finisher at the end of my normal leg routine ...(squats, front squat, dead lifts, Nordic ham curls, calf raises) just to make sure I don't miss anything...  Love this bar! Top-Notch Hex Bar! June 25, 2016 Reviewer: Victor Messner from Lebanon, PA United States   About 2.5 years ago, I purchased this hex bar, and a Safety Squat bar from BWTG. After back surgery, standard deadlifts felt like they put too much stress on my spine. This hex bar allows me to shift a bit more of the stress away from my lower back. The bar is very light and maneuverable (about 30#), but yet very solid. The handles are a bit thicker than your standard department store hex bar. That took just a short time to get used to, and now I wouldn't want the thinner handle. My previous bar also had elevated handles.  Again, I was initially worried about the increased range of motion, but I adapted well. Lastly, the fact that the bar is rackable is so convenient. Instead of loading plates on the ground, I do it at waist level in my rack. I highly recommend this bar. Was this review helpful to you?

Feels great! April 28, 2016 Reviewer: Stephen S from Wrentham, MA United States   I have only had this bar for a few weeks, but so far so good. Deadlifts are much more comfortable, and I've been able to go way up in my shrugs. Can't wait to start neutral grip presses. The shipping was fast, and even though the box was beat up pretty good, the bar was wrapped well enough that there wasn't a scratch on it. Was this review helpful to you?
